So, what has Frank Cicci Racing been up to?

Although FCR’s presence at the race track has been a desire for the team , they have been diligently devoting all of their time to seeking sponsorship.  As every team in this business understands, sponsorship is the most important and the most difficult function of racing. Frank Cicci states, “We’ve had meeting after meeting and several sponsorship hunters helping us out. We feel positive that something will come through soon”.

Although the team doesn’t have anything solid signed yet, they would like to run the last four races this year and is still seeking funding for the 2010.  FCR also has a vote of confidence from NASCAR with the signing of new series sponsor Nationwide Insurance. Cicci says, “Now that NASCAR’s marketing is relieved from seeking a series sponsor with the recent signing of Nationwide, we look forward to the assistance that they are willing to provide to our situation and other race teams that are struggling with sponsorship issues.”

FCR has also been giving feedback to NASCAR research and development of the proposed Nationwide COT car for 2011.
